Curve prices down on slightly lower clean fuel costs – EnergyScan

Curve prices down on slightly lower clean fuel costs

NWE spot baseload power prices were slightly up yesterday, to €93.285/MWh on average for today delivery (compared to €89.703/MWh /MWh for Wednesday), supported by expectations of lower solar generation and higher demand.

EUA Dec’21 prices took a breather after their strong rebound of the previous sessions, closing at €56.54/t (-0.18% day-on-day).

Curve power prices were down, mirroring the slight drop in gas, coal and EUA prices. German Cal 2022 baseload prices closed at €82.57/MWh yesterday, -0.58% compared to the previous session. French Cal 2022 baseload prices were down by 0.06%, closing at €85.18/MWh.

Like clean fuel costs, curve prices could weaken today on profit taking. However, technical supports (€81.69/MWh on German Cal 2022 baseload) could contribute to limit losses.
